Position Reports to: Branch Manager

General Purpose: Refuse Truck Sales Manager is responsible for the sales of Pac-Tech branded products and services, the refuse division of Con-Tech Manufacturing, Inc. Duties include on-site visits to customers and prospects to discuss the needs of their operations, make recommendations of Pac-Tech products, follow-up on customer requests and needs, review of customers’ trucks in production, responsible quote preparation, and contribute to the overall growth of the division. This sales role will maintain current Pac-Tech customers as well as identify and manage prospects in an effort to acquire new business.

Essential Duties:

  • Travel within assigned territory to call on existing and prospective customers; attend association meetings, shows, and events as a representative of Pac-Tech
  • Identify customer decision makers within companies and create a schedule for initial contact, follow up, and ongoing communication; cultivate relationships with key prospects and design a sales route based on their demands
  • Sell Pac-Tech refuse trucks as well as the Pac-Tech brand; work directly with the marketing department on content for print material, email blasts, social media, and website development to help grow the Pac-Tech brand
  • Develop and maintain an awareness of market behavior and competitive trends and respond accordingly
  • Work with Pac-Tech aftermarket parts salesmen, engineers, manufacturing, and leadership to establish common goals for the division
  • Meet regularly with other sales departments to review weekly sales activities, progress on goals, and status of prospective customers


  • Sales experience required with proven track record of success
  • Customer service experience required
  • Marketing knowledge required
  • Must be self-motivated and organized, as well as possess strong time-management skills; must be able to work efficiently and productively with limited daily direction
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
  • Must have the drive to learn more about the industry
  • Ability to identify and work towards business goals set personally and by supervisors
  • Must possess strong communication skills in person, on the phone, and through email; must present and communicate in a professional manner

Salary: Competitive

Job Type: Full-time
