Position Reports to: Purchasing & Supply Chain Manager
General Purpose: This position will be responsible for ordering product used in production and aftermarket sales in accordance with Con-Tech Manufacturing designated stocking levels. Con-Tech is a nationwide leader in the Concrete Industry and is expanding product offering into the Refuse Industry. Essential Duties:
- Maintain designated inventory levels by appropriately placing Purchase Orders with consideration of production consumption and aftermarket sales
- Manage cost of goods through procurement by optimizing purchase quantities and qualifying new vendors and suppliers
- Ensure quality of goods purchased are meeting specifications laid out in design prints
- Analyze costs and suggest new opportunities for savings and cost control
- Communicate proactively with Production and Engineering on issues with quality, product specifications, or delivery
- Work with vendors and suppliers to maintain relationships and build new relationship
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or 3-5 years of related experience in procurement or supply chain
- Experience in manufacturing environment which includes reading and interpreting design prints for fabrication
- Ability to communicate effectively and concisely
- Strong decision-making skills that includes developing solutions/recommendations for issues or problems that may arise
- Excellent prioritization and organization skills
